Pleasantly Puttering Around Paracas — Part 2
Ursula and I didn’t spend a lot of time in Paracas. We had other items on the agenda this stop. Nevertheless, we had a great time sightseeing and photographing both the town and the approach into the town. Here is the Jose de San Martin Monument overlooking Paracas:
The port serving Paracas is only 3.2 miles/5.1 kilometers from town . . . in a direct line across Paracas Bay. By road it’s more like 12.5 miles/20.1 kilometers, or a little over fifteen minutes by bus.
As for the town itself, I found the colorful offshore boats held most of my photographic interest:

Pleasantly Puttering Around Paracas — Part 1
We left Coquimbo, Chile on Sunday, March 15, and after two days at sea the Golden Princess deposited us at our next destination — Paracas, Peru on the Paracas Peninsula.
Paracas is a charming little town with lots to see and do. There’s the neat little “boardwalk” area sans boards along the beach:
