Copenhagen Photo Tour — Part 4
Meandering around Copenhagen with a camera and a great spouse is a blissful endeavor. You never know what you’re going to see around the next corner, such as Nyhavn depicted in Lego (a Danish invention), perhaps:
Or yet another castle, in this case Rosenborg Castle built in 1606:
Of course, all that exploration leads inevitably to hunger, and nothing satisfies quite like one of the best cheesecakes we’ve ever enjoyed:
After our brief sweet-tooth break, let’s enjoy more Copenhagen sights:

Copenhagen Photo Tour — Part 3
Not all Copenhagen architecture consists of old buildings. There is a lot of modern architecture here, as well. The above image is the Black Diamond waterfront extension of the Royal Danish Library. As our tour boat passed by the front of the Black Diamond, I was able to capture this rather unique selfie (I’m the one toward the left side with the camera held to my face):
Another modern building along the waterfront is the newly opened Danish Architectural Center (DAC):
The more traditional views of Copenhagen will always include, of course, The Little Mermaid and colorful Nyhavn:
These images are of the Ny Christiansborg residential building located near the Black Diamond (the dark, green-topped spire to the right is part of Christiansborg Palace):
Here’s a water tour view of Frederik’s Church:
This image captures the Black Diamond, the Danish Jewish Museum, and the spire of the Christiansborg Palace, all of which are located on Slotsholmen (Castle Islet):
And, finally for today, I leave you with this view of the Frederik VIII Palace, one of several palaces on the grounds of Amalienborg, home to the Danish royal family:
