You’ll recall from Monday that after our hike into town both Ursula and I were feeling a bit peckish. So, after passing the remnants of Fort Astoria (also known as Fort George) . . .
We stopped at the Fort George Brewery + Public House. This was at the recommendation of a brewer at their adjoining brewery, and I even tried his recommended brew with lunch.
I later was pleasantly surprised to find out that the brewer checked to see if I had, for he instructed our waitress to remove the charge for the beer from our tab!
All the indoor tables were taken, and we didn’t want to wait:
Despite the overcast, outdoor seating was enjoyable and comfortable:
Alas, I didn’t think to photograph either Ursula’s oyster Po-Boy Sammy or my generously sized cheeseburger, but both were exceptional. Here are some more images of the pub:
