Taking the H-O/H-O in San Francisco doesn’t just limit you to within the city. You can also cross the bay to Lime Point for some magnificent views of San Francisco Bay and the Golden Gate Bridge.
Heading back across the bridge and into town, make sure you hike around for some great street views:
Make sure you climb Telegraph Hill. There’s more to see than just Coit Tower and the views from atop it. There’s also Pioneer Park at the base of the tower. Here’s a statue of a guy you may have heard about:
On the way up the hill you’ll also find some great shots of Coit Tower as well:
Take the elevator to the top, but you’ll still have a bit of a climb to get to the observation deck:
Here you’ll find views such as these:

The Globe — Murder in Luxury
Love San Francisco! Did you know Coit tower is in honor of the city’s firefighters? Last time I was in San Fran (eons ago), I was there covering a fire service meeting for Fire Chief magazine.
I actually did know that, Karen . . . At one time. Until you commented, I hadn’t thought about that.
Thanks for reminding me and my readers, and for taking time to comment.
