Mediterranean Cruise 2022 — Ibiza; Playa de Ses Salines Beach, then into Eivissa (Ibiza town)

Another stop. Another beach. This time, heading east and then south, we traveled from Sant Antoni de Portmany to Playa de Ses Salines Beach. As you can see, this is also a popular spot for everyone from sunbathers, to swimmers, to those who want to rent some sails. I’m going to make this visit fast, as we’re about to head back into Eivissa (Ibiza town) for some fascinating Old World scenery, so here’s two more shots of Playa de Ses Salines:

Time to head about ten minutes north back into Eivissa, but not to worry. We’re not done with this tour quite yet. Our tour bus deposited us on

Port Esportiu Marina de Botafoc with Eivissa (Ibiza) Cathedral in the distance (right)

See that cathedral in the photo above? We’re headed in that direction to go into the fortified old town area known as Dalt Vila. But before we head into Ibiza’s Old Town, let’s take another look at the harbor area, south end:

Ibiza Harbor heading toward Dalt Vila (High Town), Old Town Ibiza

You’ll know you’ve reached the walk heading into Dalt Vila (High Town, a.k.a., Old Town Ibiza) when you reach this obelisk on the south end of the harbor:

Monumento a Los Corsarios (Monument to the Corsairs)

Glance south, between the buildings lining the harbor, and you’ll gain this view of Catedral de Santa Maria de les Neus d’Eivissa (Eivissa Cathedral), Ibiza Old Town:
