If you decide to attend a future Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta, plan early and shop for a hotel room. Ursula booked ours in late May, and it’s a good thing she did. The prices for accommodations does tend to get outrageous.
Ursula did her hotel shopping on Hotwire, which is one of her favorite sites for saving Balloon Bucks in these “Inflationary” times. Sorry. Couldn’t resist that one.
So, just how popular is this balloon festival? It’s estimated that up to 800,000 people attend annually. There can be as many as 750 hot air balloons. And there will be celebrities in attendance. For instance:
