We got a late start on that Sunday trip and had to bypass another fun spot — The War Eagles Air Museum at the Doña Ana County Airport at Santa Teresa in New Mexico.
Thus it was on the following Saturday that we got an earlier start in the roadster.
See how many of these old warhorses (and civilian aircraft) you can identify:
- The T-28 Trained Many a Pilot
- J-3 Cub with Wooden Propeller
- A Sight You Don’t Want to See Behind You — Lockheed P-38 Lightening
- Cute Smile
- Waco — Rhymes with “Taco”
- Cockpit of a MiG 21
- Douglas DC-3
- Love Those Wooden Propellers
- Looking Inside a Douglas A-26/B-26 Invader — Used from WWII through Vietnam
- Light Observation Aircraft
- Cessna 140 . . . in PINK!
- Ready for Some Forward Observing?
