I won’t bore you with tales of Peter Carl Fabergé and his connections to the the family of Tsar Nicholas II, because we’ve all heard of the famed Fabergé Eggs. I’ll just leave it that eggs were not the only ‘toys’ supplied by Carl Fabergé to the Romanov family. He also made very intricate replicas of coaches, royal litters, and other items. Examples of these, as well as non-Fabergé items such as intricate royal plates and ceramics are available to view at an incredible museum in St. Petersburg.
When you travel to St. Petersburg, you really won’t want to skip the Fabergé Museum. It’s that impressive:
