El Paso Museum of Art — Part 2


On Monday we took you on a photographic tour through downtown El Paso to arrive at the El Paso Museum of Art for their show on Rembrandt, Rubens, and European Painters.

Inside were many old friends, courtesy of EPMA’s rather substantial portion of the Kress Collection.  Some of my personal favorites among classic European painters are Italian urban landscape artist Canaletto and his  equally talented nephew Bernardo Bellotto.  I was already familiar with the EPMA’s Canaletto (see next picture), so I was pleasantly surprised when I saw next to it works from Bellotto and other Italian urban landscapers:
